Product information

Inspired by the telescope built by Galileo in 1609 for his first astronomical observations. Its designer, Odoardo Fioravanti, pays tribute to the beauty and simplicity of the original instrument, while adding the use of modern technology to create an optical system of the highest quality. Unlike most conventional telescopes, Fioravanti’s design is functional and simple while beautiful to look at and touch. The telescope lenses have been produced by the Florentine firm Palomar, a reference company in the field of traditional optics since 1956. This makes Galileo’s Telescope a high-quality optical instrument, which allows to observe the moon, the major planets and other elements of the Solar System. Galileo’s Telescope has received the European Consumers Choice Award 2011 (with a score of 9.6) and has been awarded with Honorable Mention XXII Compasso d'Oro Award 2011.
